Screenings

Evaluations

Treatment

  • Provides an overview of your child’s strengths and areas of need compared to same-aged peers in the area(s) of articulation, fluency, and/or receptive and expressive language.

    Primary Screening - $50

Based on the results, one of the following recommendations will be made: complete a full assessment, re-screen in six months, or take no further action.

If a full speech-language assessment is recommended, the cost of the screening will be applied toward the evaluation fee.

  • All evaluations include a 10-minute consultation with caregiver(s) to discuss results of assessments and any relevant diagnoses or recommendations.

60-minute Articulation or Fluency Evaluation $200

This evaluation focuses on your child’s ability to pronounce speech sounds clearly (articulation) and any issues with fluency, such as stuttering. It helps identify if there are challenges with the clarity of speech or smoothness of speech flow.

    60-minute Language-Only Evaluation $300

This evaluation assesses two key areas of language:

    • Receptive language (understanding language, such as following directions or answering questions), and

    • Expressive language (using words to communicate thoughts, ideas, and needs).

    • If necessary, the evaluation may also include pragmatic/social skills, which involve understanding and using language in social situations, such as taking turns in conversation or using appropriate greetings.

If additional time is required, $150 will be added to the cost of the evaluation

    60-minute Comprehensive Evaluation $300

This thorough evaluation combines the assessment of both receptive and expressive language with articulation (speech sound clarity) and/or fluency (smoothness of speech). If needed, it may also assess pragmatic/social skills, focusing on how your child interacts and communicates with others in different social contexts.

If additional time is required, $150 will be added to the cost of the evaluation

Prior Evaluation Review and New Patient Set-Up $50

If your child has had a formal speech evaluation within one calendar year (from a school, other private practice, etc.), this assessment may be utilized to develop a care plan at Speech in Bloom. The prior evaluation will be reviewed to analyze case history, as well as strengths and needs in speech and language, in order to inform the development of treatment goals.

  • Therapy is tailored to meet each child’s unique communication profile. Because needs vary, session rates are based on the type and complexity of support provided.

    Articulation-Only

For children working solely on sound production and speech clarity. These sessions focus on helping your child produce speech sounds more confidently and intelligibly through engaging, play-based activities.

    Language or Language + Articulation

For children targeting expressive/receptive language skills, grammar, vocabulary, or sentence development—with or without articulation goals. Therapy may address following directions, forming longer utterances, answering questions, or using language for social connection. Fluency based services also fall in this category.

Specialized Intervention (GLP, AAC, or AAC + GLP)

For children who are gestalt language processors (GLP) or who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). These sessions involve highly individualized, evidence-based supports for natural language development, AAC programming/training, and caregiver collaboration.

Sessions may include individualized planning, home-carryover strategies, and documentation time.
